I received this Kendal 220w ultrasonic cleaner today and so far am VERY pleased with it. I had previously owned the large ultrasonic cleaner from Harbor Freight (sold under various brands on amazon as well) for the past 3 years, and while it was a great buy for how much it cost... it's single transducer didn't have the cleaning power for tough jobs like ammo brass because it's timer maxed out at 480 seconds and needed a lot of cycles. There is a test people do on youtube where they take a piece of aluminum foil and place it in an ultrasonic cleaner for 1 minute and the amount of perforation made by this Kendal unit required the HF model to run 5-6 minutes. The build quality of this Kendal ultrasonic cleaner is excellent. It's made completely of stainless steel including the parts basket and the toggle main power switch on the rear as well as both timer and temperature knobs have a good solid feel to them. I almost bought Kendal 230 watt version with the digital display but from my experience, more electronics = more things to break. Analog controls "should" last longer. So far i've tested it by cleaning some jewelry, sunglasses, and an Aspire Atlantis e-cig atomizer and in only a couple minutes everything was cleaned perfectly with just a bit of liquid dish soap added. In the morning i'm going to clean an assortment of .223 rem, .270 win, and 38-40 win brass in a solution of 4 cups water, 1 cup white vinegar, with a tablespoon each of salt and liquid dish soap and see how well it rips through much more difficult cleaning jobs. I'll take a few photos and post them up when it's done.My only complaint about this ultrasonic cleaner is it's noisy, but what would you expect from something that cleans using sound? I tested it in my kitchen without thinking and you should have seen how fast both my Brittany's (dogs) bolted for the upstairs bedrooms! Humans can't hear the majority of the sound produced by an Ultrasonic cleaner running at 42khz since our hearing maxes out at around 20khz, while dogs/cats can hear sound all the way up to 50-60khz. So don't run it around your pets.-----UPDATE: April 22nd, 2019-----Bad news. Today I was using the Ultrasonic Cleaner and noticed liquid on the bench below it. At first i thought i had just spilled something so i wiped it up but the puddle returned. I turned it off, drained it, and was surprised to see some small pin holes in the bottom of the tank. While i'm a bit disappointed, I did use the heck out of this thing over the past 4 years. And quite a few times using solutions probably not approved for use. I'm about to order a stainless steel steam pan which has the same dimensions and attempt to do a transducer transplant. It should work and i've already removed the transducers from the tank on the leaky one. I'm still giving this cleaner 5 stars because it did a great job and the tank failure was likely my own fault. I'm not the kind of person to give a crap rating like so many clowns on here do when it was they who were the cause of the problem.-----Update May 5th 2019-----So i decided to fix the ultrasonic cleaner. The most difficult part was removing the two transducers from the bottom of the tank because not only are they stuck on there with a type of epoxy, but there is also a stainless threaded stud that's welded to the bottom that the transducer is screwed onto right after the epoxy was applied, making it have an extremely good bond. I used an angle grinder from the inside of the tank so i wouldn't harm the transducer and after some careful grinding and a bit of acetone to weaken the epoxy, off they came. Finding a replacement tank was easy. This cleaner uses a standard 25-26 gauge stainless steel steam table pan like you find in every restaurant on earth. A 1/4 size pan that is 4" deep is a perfect fit. I went with the "Anti-jam" version which has a lip like the cleaners original pan which makes it so they dont get stuck together when stacked. The transducers were attached using original JB Weld Epoxy, the 3900psi stuff with a long dry time. I balanced about 35lbs of weight on the transducers so they'd squeeze out as much of the epoxy as possible to make the best bond. After two days of curing, my cleaner is back in action. I ran four 30 minute cycles today and it didn't fall apart so all is well. Total repair cost: $24.00.
