We had a big heavy Kirby vacuum that was great for 20 years, but I wanted something lighter and more maneuverable, so my husband bought us a Dyson. And while it is easier to use, lighter and more maneuverable, I find the hose to be so stiff that it is very difficult to use with attachments, and impossible to clean stairs to the second story. I had an old stick vacuum for light cleanups made by Bissell for 15 years that just gave up the ghost, and this little vacuum runs circles around what it was able to do in its best days. It arrived with a fully charged battery and I was able to go around the house and quickly complete cleaning jobs in several different areas that were bothering me that our Roomba cannot reach; i.e., under cabinets, and around the edges of area rugs. It was also awesome on the stairs. And I like that it has power settings so that when cleaning around the many cables in my husband’s computer area, I didn’t have to worry about the roller bar grabbing and damaging them. If anything changes, I will provide an update. But for now, I am thrilled with the 6 pound weight, the ease of switching to accessories, the suction options and the maneuverability of this marvelous little machine. Perfect for light, every day jobs.
